best bass in ear earbuds for under $50?

I’ve had two pair of V moda bass freq earbuds and they sound great, but each pair only lasted about six months even though I’m really careful with them. My sister has some skullcandy “ink’d” earbuds and they sound okay but they’re not quite as bass heavy as I’d like. Is there any earbuds out there that have a little oomph and smooth mids while being durable all at the same time? (if you’re recommending a pair of buds that you own, please state how long you’ve owned them)

I’ve been using Altec-Lansing Back Beats for almost three years. Great bass boost, noise isolation, clear mids and highs. They have a woven coating instead of plastic which makes them more durable than most and they’re moderately priced. They also make some in the cell accessories department that have remote and inline mic. I have a pair from Sony that I’ve used for even longer. They sound great too but don’t have quite the bass that the A-Ls have. I highly recommend that you pass on Skullcandy. They always quit working and customer service from them is non-existant.
