my god dam truck keeps popping a fuse?
for the last 6 days i keep blowing a fuse (10amp)
this is for the dash display.
when it pops
i have no indicators but the hazards still work.
fuel and temp meters are dead the needles do not move.
none of the idiot lights on the dash work , seat belt light light to tell me if i am in 4 wheel drive door open light everything else works fine.
also the fuse blows when i turn the truck off it does not blow when i am using it.
also does not blow every time
it is a misty 90-91 v6 shogun petrol
the only work done to it is
new bulb in side light
new starter motor
which have both been triple checked since the fault
any ideas anyone because i am lost and so is the local garage

You have what sounds like a short in the key switch. If as you say it works fine when the engine is running. Does the vehicle have an alarm/imobiliser? If so it may be this that is causing the problem as these are normally switched off when driving. In modern cars the lights on the dashboard are run through the computer and there may be the fault.
